The Ultimate Gaming Experience

An esports lounge being built for the way Bakersfield actually games. Tournaments, late-night ranked grinds, full-rig stations, console rooms, and food worth showing up for — none of it open yet. Drop your email and we'll tell you the second the doors swing.

About

A spot where the game doesn't stop.

Stop & Game is being built for the players who never had a real place to play locally — competitive squads, casual squads, families, after-school streamers, weekend tournament runners. One venue, every platform, food on-site, late hours, and the energy of a place that takes the scene seriously. We're still building. Nothing is open yet.

What we're building

The plan, under one roof.

Designed around how people actually play — short visits, long sessions, organized comp, drop-in casual. This is the vision we're scoping. Specs and offerings will firm up between now and opening day.

Tournament-Grade PCs

The build target: high-refresh monitors, mechanical keyboards, low-latency peripherals, top-tier GPUs. Designed so you can show up and play, not configure for an hour.

Console Rooms

Console rooms we're planning for current-gen platforms — private and shared. Couch co-op, fighting-game brackets, and Madden-night energy all on the roadmap.

Tournaments & Leagues

The format we're aiming at: weekly opens, monthly cups, seasonal leagues. Built for everyone from after-school grinders to teams chasing a real prize pool. Schedule drops with the opening date.

Streaming-Ready

Capture cards, lighting, and audio being spec'd so creators can stream a session, record content, or shoutcast a bracket without bringing their own kit.

Stop & Grub Kitchen

The paired food spot we're building in the same building — real meals planned for long sessions, not just bagged chips and energy cans. Stop & Grub

Community Programs

After-school slots, family hours, birthday rooms, scholastic esports support — programs we're scoping. The intent: make gaming in Bakersfield feel like a real thing, not a hidden one.

Paired With

Stop & Grub

Same building, separate vibe. A full kitchen designed around hand-held food you can eat at a controller, plates worth dining-in for, and the kind of late-night menu that fits a place that's open when you actually want to game. Also being built — not open yet.

FAQ

What to expect.

The honest answers while we're building. Bookmark the page — we'll keep this updated as opening day gets closer.

When does Stop & Game actually open?
We're still building. Drop your email below and you'll get the announcement the moment we lock the opening date — before it goes public.
Where in Bakersfield?
We're finalizing the location. It'll be a dedicated, purpose-built space — not a back room in a strip mall. Specifics drop with the opening announcement.
How much does it cost to play?
Hourly rates for open play, day passes, membership tiers for regulars, and dedicated tournament pricing. Pricing rolls out closer to opening — we want it priced for actual players, not for tourists.
Is it kid-friendly or 18+?
Both — by hours. Family hours, after-school programs, and birthday rooms during the day. Adult ranked grinds and tournament nights when the schedule says so.
What games and platforms?
PC for everything competitive and ranked. Current-gen consoles in dedicated rooms for couch co-op and fighting-game brackets. Whatever the scene wants to play, we'll have it running.
Can my team run a tournament here?
Yes. Once we're open, we'll have a real tournament-organizer pipeline — bracket support, casting setup, and the venue dialed in for events of all sizes. Get on the list and we'll reach out when applications open.
Are you hiring?
Not yet — but soon. If you want a heads-up, sign up below and note "hiring" in your email reply when the welcome message hits your inbox.
